Mother Love 2

It's been a topsy, turby couple of weeks, and I have very little of interest to report, but I finished a book the I've been reading last night and felt complied to share a couple of lines out of it with you!!
The title of the book is Mother Love 2, it's a compilation of stories about births, babies and beyond.
I think every mother in the world could relate to one of this stories, they are moving, passionate, honest and funny, so I thought it would be nice to share some of my favourite snippet's with you;(I think there are some great scrapping sayings amongst these)

"Motherlove - the three unsibilated syllables move across the tongue and out the lips with remarkable ease. Is there anything more comforting, is there anything more secure, than a mother's love"

"You may be a nuclear physicist/winner of the Nobel Peace Prize/Un Secretary-General, but I am the mother of this miraculous creature.Eat Your heart out."

"For most of us, our children will be the most enduring and impressive legacy we leave on earth".

"Mothering is not always soft & cosy, its difficult, tiring, frustrating, disappointing and ultimately quite thankless."

"There's a bit of screaming. A bit of being utterly fed up. A bit of sheer, bloody exhaustion-and there's that too:blood. Not to mention a lot of milky confusion. And while we're onto the bodily fluids, there are, ofcourse, the tears: joy, fatigue, rage, surrender...but mostly joy."

I think this one relates the most to my feelings on the birth of Jack, "Until I had my son I was living my life in black & white, and now I'm living in Colour!!"
