Well what a finish to 2008, the week prior to Christmas Jack had his tonsillectomy and I must say even by Christmas he was still unwell and couldn't enjoy all the yummy treats. He did however enjoy all the great stuff that Santa left behind. His favourite Christmas presents were his Storm trooper helmet, motorbike Jersey and the PlayStation.
We had a fabulous Christmas day having my side of the family here for a very relaxed lunch, all the kids just hung in the pool until the Sing Star championship took place in the afternoon.
Christmas night we made the trip to Cohuna and enjoyed tea with Phil's parents and brother.
I was also luck to receive some lovely gifts, some beautiful charms for my Pandora bracelet, the new Bryce Courtenay book, a new scrapbooking album and a family sketch which I will treasure forever..
...New Years Eve was very low key, Phil's mate Darren was home from Queensland, so we just had a BBQ and drinks out the back. There was some excitement in the street when the neighbours paddock caught on fire, there were firetrucks and police everywhere..
2009 has already brought somethings that I have never experienced before, my first trip in an ambulance, my first prang in Phil's car and yes I can hear you we are only 7 days in..
So goodbye 2008 and hello 2009, I think there is going to be quite a few surprises in store (hopefully some good ones)..
