The Alphabet Parade

Today there was much excitement in the Junior pod, as the Frogs and Turtles come dressed to impress for the alphabet parade.

Each child was assigned a letter of the alphabet and asked to dress up as something beginning with that letter.

There were some fantastic costumes and all the parents and children had gone to a super effort.

Jack was given the letter Y, which didn't suit him at all considering he wanted to go as B for Batman, but after much deliberation we came up with the concept of Yogi Bear.

With some fluffy brown fur material I drafted a pair of pants and mittens which I had to hand stitch as I don't own a sewing machine and wouldn't know how to use one. I then cut the collar off one of Phil's shirts, hit the local op shop and purchased a green tie, walked the town until I found a dusty beaten up bear mask at the back of the toy shop for $2.00. Then all that was left was to construct a hat from card stock and stick it to the mask.

Jack was happy with the finished product but still thought Batman would be cooler.
